Key Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate books of accounts.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely posting of all financial transactions.
Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, and general ledgers.
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
Monitor expenses against approved budgets and report variances.
Support management with cost control and financial planning.
Prepare and file tax returns including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, and Corporate Tax.
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
Liaise with tax authorities and auditors when required.
Payroll & Payables
Prepare payroll and ensure timely salary payments.
Manage staff deductions and statutory contributions.
Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
Internal Controls & Audit
Maintain effective internal control systems.
Support internal and external audits.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional certification (ACCA, ICAG or CIMA) is an advantage.
2–5 years relevant work experience.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
